Apparatus for creating generative drawings without the use of a computer

The first version of “Apparatus for creating generative drawings without the use of a computer” was made for the “Dubbelwerk” exhibition in Ghent, Belgium. The curator of the exhibition asked each artist to collaborate with another artist participating in the exhibition. The output of each artist duo was a static fine arts print. I decided to ignore this, and used the visitors of the exhibiton as my collaborating artist.

A second version of the installation was displayed during "The New Sublime 2014", a group exhibition with international digital artists at the Phoenix Gallery in Brighton.

The installation is site-specific, and consists of custom office stamps, generated with software, hanging from the ceiling with an elastic cord, and fine arts paper mounted on the wall. No instructions are given to the audience on how to use the tools.
